Mar 26, 2011 · Generally speaking, Toyota holds better resale value over Nissan, and Aussies can attest to this between the Land Cruiser and Patrol. Another observation that I've read is that the build quality of the chassis is more robust on the Y61 than the 100/105 series, but there are issues with it's engines.

Don't wish to appear picky but the air con on the 80 series is not climate control, there's a difference. VX has 5 speakers, optional on GX.

A 105 is an 80 series chassis with a 100 series body on it. As the 105 utilises the 80 series chassis you get a live front axle- The 100 series adopted a (good at the time, but aged like bad milk) torsion bar IFS setup. Both the 105 and 100 series came with 2 engine choices. The 105 could be had with the naturally aspirated 1HZ diesel only

Sep 15, 2015 · I also used the 80 series springs. They are much beefier than the stock AHC springs. They had lots of miles on them so they would have sagged on a non AHC 100 but were perfect for an AHC equipped 100 with about 2" of lift out back. The AHC sensor out back had to be adjusted (added a longer bracket).
